Very Quickly features abbreviated posts for when I don’t have time to write out a full review.
I hated it. Garbage! And staggeringly sexist, too, in a way that Sorrentino probably thought was progressive because it’s the story of an independent woman. Except she is defined exclusively through her relationship with men, often older, say around the age of the director. There’s a scene where Parthenope is feeling blue because the older man she went on a date with was mean to her, but then she gets catcalled on the street in the middle of the night, and that cheers her right up.
There are gorgeous views of Naples and Capri, I guess, which is why I wanted to see it in the first place. But it’s not worth it!

¡Horrible! Machista a más no poder, y eso que Sorrentino seguro que se creyó de lo más moderno por contar la historia de una mujer independiente; pero es que la bellísima joven existe solo a través de su relación con los hombres, preferiblemente mayores, digamos de la edad del director. Hay una escena en la que Parthenope está triste porque el hombre mayor con el que tenía una cita ha sido borde con ella, cuando de repente le silban por la calle en plena noche, y eso le alegra el día.
Preciosas vistas de Nápoles y Capri, todo hay que decirlo, que es por lo que la quería ver… ¡pero no merece la pena!
